  1. How long does a portrait photographic session last?

    Typically a portrait photographic session lasts between half an hour to an hour.

  2. Where can portraits be taken?

    Portraits may be taken either in the studio, at your home or on location depending on your requirements. With free photo shoots and straightforward pricing we can cater for everyone.

  3. What is included in my portrait session?

    Included in the portrait session is the actual photo shoot itself and time to review the images taken following its completion.

  4. Can I print the pictures on the DVD?

    Yes, the images supplied on a DVD as part of the Studio DVD and Studio DVD+ packages are supplied with a certificate that allows you to print the images on the disk without compromising the copyright.

  5. How long does it take for my pictures to be ready?

    It is our aim to turn around your pictures as efficiently as possible. If you have ordered specific prints products or a DVD following your portrait session we aim to complete all orders within 4 weeks of your photo shoot.

  6. How much do your prints cost?

    All of our prints and products are reasonably priced and the exact cost varies depending of the size of the image and the selected product.

  1. Why pay for a professional photographer when one of our friends can do it?

    It’s a huge responsibility to photograph a wedding, after all, you only have one shot at it! We give that responsibility the respect it deserves and our knowledge, training, experience and creative skills ensure you have the perfect pictures you’d expect. The ‘friend with a camera’ option may seem attractive when looking at the figures but imagine how heartbroken you’d be if your photographs weren’t as you hoped. Wedding photography is our profession and just as we may be able to fix a leaky tap, it doesn’t make us professional plumbers… you get the picture!

  2. How many photographs will we get?

    It is impossible to put an exact figure on the number of images that you will receive as it depends on the level of coverage that you book. After editing you will receive copies of all of the pictures taken on the day in colour, black and white along with some black and white colour special effects.

  3. Can I print the pictures on the DVD?

    All of our wedding packages includes a DVD of your images, these are supplied with a certificate that allows you to print the images on the disk without compromising the copyright.

  4. What style of photographic coverage do you offer?

    The photographic coverage that we offer will be tailored to suit your needs, we will propose a list of wedding shots that you can adjust to meet your own specific requirements consisting of a range of reportage coverage, formal portraits and creative shots.

  5. How long do you stay at the wedding for?

    This depends on the package that you book. Our Bronze package includes approximately 4 hours coverage while our Silver, Gold and Platinum packages include approximately 6-8 hours coverage.

  6. How quickly will the pictures be ready?

    It is our aim to turn around your pictures as efficiently as possible, usually we email the link to your online gallery within a few days with many couples viewing their pictures while on honeymoon. Your DVD is prepared at this point along with your album and we aim to complete all booking within 4-6 weeks for the date of your wedding.

  7. How much do your wedding albums cost?

    Wedding albums are included as part of the Gold and Platinum wedding packages, additional copies may be ordered at the special price of £150 each (12×12 hardback book) while smaller copies may be ordered for £80 each (7×7 hardback book) which are ideal for parents.

  8. Can we also order framed prints or canvases of our pictures?

    Yes, we can arrange for additional prints to be produced and framed upon the viewing of your wedding photos, these are available in a wide range of formats, sizes and finishes.

  1. Who are you & where are you based?Camera Shy Photography is a husband and wife team, Alistair and Danielle and we are based in Carterton, West Oxfordshire. We are able to cover events across the Oxfordshire area as well as the surrounding counties of Berkshire, Hampshire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and the South of England. We are also happy to travel further afield if required.
  2. What photographic services do you offer?Camera Shy Photography covers all areas of photography including weddings, portraits, commercial / event, sports and landscape. In addition to this work we can also arrange for the printing and framing of your images in a wide range of formats and styles.
  3. Why should I book you?We offer a professional service at extremely competitive prices, there are no hidden extras. As a husband and wife team we provide photographic coverage in a relaxed and friendly manner, you can be reassured that we will take the time before, during and after a booking to ensure that you are happy with our service.
  4. How can I see examples of your work?Our work is our biggest advert and you are more than welcome to view examples of our previous work either via the selection on our website in the gallery section or via our Pro On Line Gallery (see links page), wedding albums or examples of our framed prints / canvases may also be viewed, please contact us to arrange this.
  5. How do we book you?Please contact us to check our availability for your chosen date and to provide us with the details of your booking requirements ie: wedding / portrait session. We can then make a provisional booking in our diary and send you the relevant booking forms.  
  6. When do we pay you?When you return your booking form we ask that you send a deposit to confirm your booking, this is then deducted from the remaining balance of your booking. Final payment is usually one month before a wedding booking. For portrait bookings the payment is due on the day of the shoot and in both instances cleared funds must be received before images are released.
